Besides his very busy film, television, stage, and teaching/writing career, Fred will always find time for one of his passions: baseball. Fred enjoys participating in the annual Celebrity Baseball Game at Dodger Stadium. He even plays in the Hollywood Celebrity Softball Game. As much as he likes to play baseball, he enjoys being a spectator, too. Schedule permitting, you will find Fred cheering the Dodgers on from the stands.

Fred also enjoys playing tennis. He is the chairman of the Corban Classic Tennis Event for charity in Plano, Texas. This event raises funds for the Forrest Outreach Foundation. Additionally, his wife, Mary plays in the foundations poker tournament. The Willards arekey in the Forrest Outreach Foundations successful fundraisers. This foundation is dedicated to empowering economically disadvantaged persons to make positive, lasting changes in the lives of current and future generations. For more information on the Forrest Outreach Foundation, visit this site.
Fred participated in the World Poker Tour, a fundraising event for the Los Angeles Childrens Hospital. The event raised over $4,000, and Fred (who doesnt even play poker) came in third place. The Childrens Hospital benefits from Freds generousity throughout the year through his personal donations, monies earned from game shows, and the monies received from Plaid Tidings, the Christmas version of Forever Plaid (Fred is the narrator).
For over 15 years, Fred has been the host of the charity event for WISE (Westside Independent Services To The Elderly).
